1st June.

Today we left our accommodation at Beaulies-les-Loches and travelled down to near Clermont-Ferrand where we stayed in a caravan park at Royat. Yes in the tent for a few days but it wasn't that bad.

On the way we stopped off at a town that had a display of lace at the tourist info but it was a little disappointing. Had an interesting Castle ruin but it wasn't open to the public.

We were also going to have a look at some cave paintings but when we were told that they were a copy and the display and audio were only in french it seemed a bit pointless so we moved on.

Arrived at Royat and tent set up in a very nice and shelter camping ground. Lovely young lady running it and very helpful. Another one in the small shop spoke a little English with a French accent that you could die for. No wonder the English were always over here trying to take over the country.
