6th June.

Off today to visit a list that Vince has drawn up. First up, check out the old fort above the town where we are staying. Up we go and a long walk to the fort and it is still closed. Lucky for us the girls decided to stay in the car.
Next stop some rock screens where rocks left over after a glacier melted are that deep that they haven't yet been covered over.

Found a nice spring in a picnic area nearby.

Off and stopped at a collection of buildings along the way. The church was called Chapelle Roquelaure but it was locked. I would have liked to have seen inside because we peeped through a crack in the side door and what we could see was covered in huge cobwebs.

Couldn't see any birds but there were plenty of cats. Maybe they put the sign up?

Then to Sainte Eulate d'Olt, a medieval town. Very interesting and watched workmen plastering up the outside of one of the old buildings.

Annette didn't notice this fellow until she was checking the photos.

This is the car I would have hired. Wouldn't have have had to worry about it getting damaged.

Stopped at Saint -Geniez-d'Olt for a quick look. Found it interesting and could have stayed there longer. The people on the horses were on a weeks trail ride.

Through a few more interesting places then into Bozouls to see the 100 metre deep canyon with the town perched around part of the rim. Impressive too. Annette was there yesterday.

Through a few more small towns and back home for dinner out with Sue and Vince. Very nice and posh indeed.
