1st August.

Hasn't the time flown, August already. Up before dawn and off at 6.20am to beat the heat. Off along the river to Montrichard. No ups and downs today but still a long enough walk.

Into the forest and very pleasant now that the sun was not in our eyes.

Walked past the other side of the Chateau Chenonceaux and it looked pretty basked in the early morning sun.

Crossed over the road here and if you zoom in Sue and Vince will recognise one of Karens blunders when she took us up the cycle path to the left.

Stopped for morning tea along side this. The water is held back by 8 foot long timber sticks with the top shaped a bit like cricket bats with knobs on the ends.

Arrived in Montrichard and set up in the camping ground. Going to be hot this afternoon so going into town to get cold and flu tablets as I'm now starting to suffer. iPad completely flat as I had turned off the auto switch off and Annette had left it on when we put it away last night. Just as well we didn't need it today. Left it at the caravan park office to charge up before we went into town. Didn't seem to be working so fingers crossed. A few people enjoying a sandy beach in town.

'Office De Tovrisme' in an old building.

Obtained the medicine and I went back to the camping ground to dose up and have a rest. Annette had a look around the town. She found three florists in the one block. Would you believe one was selling kangaroo paw. Nearly ever town has at least one florist.

Market setting up in one of the squares. Mostly a bit of fruit, vegetables and the rest junk.

Reminds me of helping Garrie build his shed. OH&S would have a fit. The crane they were using was a lot bigger that the one the other day.

Annette came back to the camping ground and we spent the rest of the afternoon trying to sleep following the shade around. iPad back fully charged and working, phew. Dinner by the river side waiting for it to cool off before we went off to bed.
