2nd August.

Up and away early. Very short walk to Pontlevoy today, possibly less than three hours. Will seem like a stroll. The toilets at the camping ground were just a wee bit cramped. Just able to close the door and sit.

Off along the river for awhile. Nice bridge.

Up into the forest and along a few logging tracks and came out onto farm land. Walked across this farm to Pontlevoy where we were booked into a B&B as there was no camping ground.

Arrived before lunch and no one around so packs left and off exploring the town.

Needed to get a better look here.

Back to the accommodation and head cold really kicking in now so I spent the rest of the afternoon catching up on some sleep. Awake and Annette said that there had been a five minute summer shower of rain. Had another look around the rest of the town. The old Abby that we were told up until 1950s still owned most of the town.

Coming home with plenty of ideas Trev.

Decided to have pizza for dinner and got a bit of a shock when we walked in the door. Happy days all over again.

Not surprising actually as an American university has a campus here in town but it is holiday time here now so the place is empty of people. Even the only bakery has closed for a month.

Breakfast not until 8.30 in the morning so no early start tomorrow. Not forecasted to be hot but it may be wet as there has been light rain and lightning tonight.
