2nd June.

Off into the country side to visit the church of Saint Nectarine. Should be interesting with sat nav directing us. Finially arrived at a little village with a church perched on the top of the hill. Nice old place. One of the many unusual carvings inside.

Next off to visit the Chateau de Murol. This was what I would call an old castle. Still haven't worked out what is a chateau, castle, fort or whatever. Much fun at the entrance gate as the lady didn't understand English and while she was trying to explain to Vince and myself that if we wanted to go in we had to pay more cause there was a live display on later that we could watch, or wait until it was over and then get in cheaper. I think. Anyway, by this stage the girls had gotten bored of it all and had just wandered up the 50 metre drive and walked in and were now out of sight. We tried to say we would wait but Vince had to go and get the girls but the lady didn't understand and wasn't having a bar of it. I thought Vince was going to be put in the lock up and we sort of were later. Finally sorted and the girls were retrieved for us only to end up paying for the show and in we went.

Caught Sue sliding up to this gent out the back. He understood just enough English to ask Sue for a kiss and a cuddle. She told us after that she was tempted.

Not a bad bit of the castle left and we boys took it in turn to get locked in the stocks and I thought Annette was going to leave me in them.

They put on a really good entertaining live show and it was worth the extra even though it was all in French they were pretty funny.

Off to the medieval village of Bessemer-et-Saint-Anastaise. Very interesting with lots of small streets and little squares.

Passed a big rock on the way back and Annette got out and had to make do with a cuddle from a menhir.
