12th July.

A few ants in the tent last night and I must have found every one of them climbing over me cause Annette said none were on her. Still no breeze and it is still humid and looks like it could rain so a quick breakfast and packed up. Not very far to go today, about 8 kilometres to Creysse. When we get there we planned to see how we were feeling after yesterday and may go on further. Unable to locate Annette's pack cover. Nothing for it but to unpack first my pack and then Annette's and yes it was in the bottom of Annette's pack. Not a good start. Annette then decides she hasn't got her hat. Well we know it's not in the packs so off to the shower block to see if it was left there yesterday, no. The only other place maybe the hotel where we had dinner. Packs on and off to the hotel and they and been expecting her and the hat was produced. A very relieved Annette and me cause I know who's hat she would have been wearing. We have been walking through walnut country and some of the groves of walnut trees look lovely and cool.

Arrived in Creysse at 9.30am and stopped at the hotel which had a Brasserie where we ordered hot chocolates each and a slice of pear tart. Yummy. Checked out the map and our blisters, aches and pains and decided we needed to rest so off to the caravan park next to the Dordogne river. (Feels like we are cheating). Another friendly face.

Tent set up and even this early it is starting to get hot and humid so we made the best choice. Looks like it could rain and it is forecasted for storms. Checked out the river.

Off to check out the town.

Decided to have the 13.50 euro Menu du Jour for lunch and scraps for dinner just in case it was raining later. Good choice as we had a nice melon salad to start followed by a hung duck leg and veggies then a slice of tart with cream and lots of water drank. Still trying to make up for yesterday's dehydration. This is a small stream that had been diverted from the creek to run underneath the hotel when it was a mill powered by water. In most small villages you can see something similar, incredibly pretty.

View of the church roof. Check out the barn roof on the right.

Annette caught the bell ringing.

Annette having trouble staying awake so back to the caravan park where she was off to have a sleep under a walnut tree whilst I toiled with this blog trying to make sense of where we had been the last 10 days. Annette had a good sleep and I was able to catch up on the blog notes even though I was unable to load them.

Started to rain at 9pm and immediately became cooler so should sleep well tonight.
